Laura Richardson, whose financial troubles have been headline news lately, has managed to pay off at least one creditor: Sir Speedy Printing in Signal Hill...During Richardson's nine-month tenure, she earned $84,814.47 - three quarters of her annual salary of $113,098. She was also paid $28,365 in tax-free per diem, at a rate of $162 per day that the Legislature was in session.

Richardson, 46, makes nearly $170,000 as a member of Congress and was paid $113,000 during the eight months she served in the state Assembly in 2007 before her election to Congress. She also received a per diem total of $20,000 from California, according to a financial disclosure form she filed with the House of Representatives clerk.
